Our 7-night winter stays aren’t just about seeing the Arctic — they’re about feeling connected to it. Whether you choose the all-inclusive, half board, or self-catering option, each package is designed to give you a meaningful and personal experience here in Vesterålen.
With just six apartments, we welcome small groups into our everyday life — sharing local stories, homemade food, and time in nature. You’ll stay in comfortable, modern apartments just steps from the sea, and depending on the package, join us for home-cooked meals made with ingredients from our own land and waters — moose from the forest, fish we’ve caught ourselves, and traditional Norwegian dishes served with a modern twist.
But what makes this place truly special is its story. My grandparents lived off the sea right here. My parents built the apartments, and now, as the third generation, I live here with my family — welcoming guests, preparing meals, and sharing the stories I grew up with. In our main building, where we gather for dinner, you’ll see old family photos that quietly tell the story of this place.
We offer a variety of guided activities like snowshoeing, wildlife spotting, and chasing the Northern Lights — but it’s the connection to the land and the people that guests remember most. This is not a hotel. It’s our home — and we love welcoming curious travelers who are looking for something real.

Our winter experience program
Our winter package includes everything you need for a full Arctic experience — without the stress of planning. We’ll pick you up at Evenes Airport and take care of you from there.
Snowshoeing
Enjoy a 5-hour guided snowshoe walk with all equipment included. Warm up with hot drinks and lunch by an open fire during your snowy adventure.
Photo Tour & Local Sightseeing
Explore the beauty of Vesterålen on a 4–6 hour guided tour through dramatic coastal landscapes, charming fishing village, and hidden viewpoints. Along the way, we share stories about local life, history, and nature in Bø.
Sauna
Relax in our wood fired sauna and enjoy the beautiful view while relaxing.
Northern Lights
Northern Lights
Embark on a 2- to 5-hour guided adventure to the best spots for experiencing the Northern lights. Receive photographing tips and travel by car or on foot for an unforgettable experience.

Meeting a moose during a holiday in Norway is a dream for many.
We can take you on a moose safari to find these giants of the forest.
In winter, we offer early morning tours only.
In summer, we can go out both in the mornings and evenings.

Home-cooked meals
At Vesterålen Apartments, we take pride in serving home-cooked meals made with local ingredients. From fresh fish we catch ourselves to moose from the surrounding forests, our dishes reflect the flavors of the land and sea. We blend traditional Norwegian recipes with modern twists to create meals that are comforting, nourishing, and full of flavor. Every meal is crafted with care, and we’re always happy to share the stories behind the ingredients.

We are a small, family-run place with a shared kitchen. While we do our best to accommodate dietary preferences and mild allergies, we are unfortunately not able to guarantee that meals are free from allergens. We cannot take responsibility for guests with severe food allergies, as we do not have the facilities to avoid cross-contamination.
